Movement for the Actualisation of the Sovereign State of Biafra (MASSOB) has dismissed comment credited to former Minister of Internal Affairs, Lt.-Gen. Abdulraham Dambazau (rtd.) that Biafra agitators are the same with Boko Haram, describing it as ‘misguided’.
Dambazau had stated that the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), O’dua Peoples Congress (OPC) as well as other pro-Biafra and secessionist groups should be seen as terrorists in the mould of Boko Haram.
But in a statement by MASSOB’s National Director on Information, Edeson Samuel, the group stated that it was unprofessional for Dambazau, “who also served as Minister of Interior to stoop so low as to compare an internationally accredited terrorist group with self-determination groups.
“Dambazau as a member of Fulani cabal executing the primitive agenda of their forefathers refused to condemn the atrocious terrorist activities of his Fulani kinsmen. He consistently failed to admit that his Fulani herdsmen are the real terrorists destroying Nigeria.
“It is a known fact that IPOB, OPC, MASSOB and other groups in Nigeria are engaged in legitimate self-determination struggles for our people’s liberation from the slavery the British yoked us with the Hausa Fulani dominated Nigerian Enterprise with their Islamic and Sharia hostages.
“How can a man who had served as Army General suddenly become so myopic and exhibit loss of reasoning by comparing IPOB and OPC with Boko Haram?” he said.
men’s killings in the country were aimed at fulfill the Northern agenda and urged the Southern and Middle Belt regions to beware.
“The Fulani from Sudan, Mali, Niger and Libya are now residents in Nigeria. They are in the villages as cobblers, well diggers, Okada riders and tailors waiting to execute their plan of overtaking the South and Middle Belt regions.
“But the synergy of all pro-independence agitators in Biafra, Oduduwa and Middle Belt will always resist their planned domination,” the statement added.
